A delightful breakfast pizza combining biscuits and sausage gravy for a comforting morning meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 package (16 oz) breakfast sausage
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk, divided
  • Ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
  • 1 pre-baked pizza crust (12-inch)
  • Cooking spray
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk (for the eggs)
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (or more, as desired)
  • Crispy fried onions for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Make the gravy by adding flour to the cooked sausage and then gradually stirring in 1.5 cups of milk. Simmer to thicken.
  4. Prepare the eggs by whisking them with the remaining milk and cooking in a skillet until fluffy.
  5. Assemble the pizza by spreading sausage gravy on the crust, adding scrambled eggs, and topping with cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  7. Add crispy fried onions on top after baking.
  8. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

This pizza can be made ahead by preparing the sausage gravy and eggs the night before.
