  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 box instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup butter (for frosting)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the muffin tin by lining it with cupcake liners.
  3. Mix the cake mix, sour cream, pudding mix, water, and eggs in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Fill each cupcake liner about two-thirds full with the batter.
  5. Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool the cupcakes in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  7. Make the frosting by combining butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
  8. Frost the cooled cupcakes using a piping bag or knife.
