  • 2 slices of your favorite bread
  • 2 leaves of crisp lettuce
  • 1 ripe tomato, sliced
  • Mayonnaise, to taste
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, lay out the bacon slices. Cook them until golden brown and crispy, about 4-6 minutes per side.
  2. Drain the grease: Once the bacon is cooked, transfer it to a paper towel-lined plate to drain off the excess grease.
  3. Toast those slices: In the same skillet, toast your bread for about a minute on each side until golden brown.
  4. Slice the tomato: While the bacon sizzles, slice your ripe tomato about a quarter inch thick.
  5. Spread the mayo: Take one slice of toasted bread and generously spread your chosen mayonnaise onto it.
  6. Layer it up: Stack on the crispy bacon, followed by the lettuce leaves and then the tomato slices, adding a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
  7. Place the second slice of bread on top and press down gently.
  8. Cut your sandwich diagonally for a classic presentation.
