- 2–3 slices of bacon
- 2 slices of your favorite bread
- 2 leaves of crisp lettuce
- 1 ripe tomato, sliced
- Mayonnaise, to taste
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Cook the bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, lay out the bacon slices. Cook them until golden brown and crispy, about 4-6 minutes per side.
- Drain the grease: Once the bacon is cooked, transfer it to a paper towel-lined plate to drain off the excess grease.
- Toast those slices: In the same skillet, toast your bread for about a minute on each side until golden brown.
- Slice the tomato: While the bacon sizzles, slice your ripe tomato about a quarter inch thick.
- Spread the mayo: Take one slice of toasted bread and generously spread your chosen mayonnaise onto it.
- Layer it up: Stack on the crispy bacon, followed by the lettuce leaves and then the tomato slices, adding a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
- Place the second slice of bread on top and press down gently.
- Cut your sandwich diagonally for a classic presentation.
- Serve it fresh with potato chips or a side salad.
