  • 1 T milk (extra, if needed)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare your pan: Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  3. Mix the wet ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, beat the egg. Then, add your oil, vanilla, sugar, and milk. Mix until well combined.
  4. Combine dry ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Combine wet and dry: Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Prepare the streusel topping: In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, flour, and walnuts (if using).
  7. Pour the batter into the pan: Scoop the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  8. Add the streusel: Sprinkle the streusel topping generously over the batter.
