Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberries by combining them with sugar and letting them macerate.
  2. Whip the cream cheese until smooth and creamy, optionally adding vanilla extract.
  3. Fold in the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until combined.
  4. Slice the lemon cake into even squares or cubes for layering.
  5. Assemble the trifles by layering cake, cream cheese mixture, and macerated strawberries in cups.
  6. Chill the assembled trifles in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving.
