Description

A one-pan meal that combines smoky sausage with sweet bell peppers and onions for a flavorful dinner solution.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
  • 2 bell peppers (red, green, or yellow), sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the skillet by placing a large skillet over medium heat. Add the olive oil and allow it to warm up.
  2. Toss in the sliced smoked sausage and let it cook for about 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally until it’s nicely browned.
  3. Add in your sliced onions and bell peppers. Sauté for another 5-7 minutes until the veggies are tender.
  4. Sprinkle in the garlic powder, paprika, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir everything to combine.
  5. Adjust the seasoning as necessary and taste the dish.
  6. Turn off the heat and finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley to garnish.

Notes

Serve over rice, quinoa, or wrapped in tortillas for a complete meal. You can also add other veggies for more nutrients.
