Description

A playful spin on the classic cheeseburger, this pie combines a flaky biscuit crust with cheesy ground beef, sweet onions, and tangy pickles for a comforting dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1 medium onion (diced)
  • 1 cup pickles (diced)
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 cans of refrigerated biscuit dough
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat, seasoning with salt and pepper, until fully cooked (about 7-10 minutes).
  3. Add the diced onions to the skillet and sauté until soft (about 5 minutes).
  4. Stir in pickles, mustard, and ketchup; remove from heat and sprinkle half the cheese on top.
  5. Prepare the biscuit base by cutting each biscuit into quarters.
  6. Assemble the pie by layering biscuit pieces in a greased dish, pouring the beef mixture over it, and topping with remaining cheese.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
  8. Let the pie cool for about 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve with extra pickles, ketchup, mustard, or sour cream for added flavor.
