- 1 pound cooked chicken, shredded
- ½ cup Buffalo sauce
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup cream cheese
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve a cup of pasta water before draining.
- Make the sauce by mixing shredded chicken, Buffalo sauce, cream cheese, and milk in a bowl.
- Mix in the cooked pasta, adding reserved pasta water if needed.
- Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese, saving some for the topping.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading evenly.
- Create the topping by combining breadcrumbs, reserved cheddar, olive oil, and salt.
- Sprinkle the topping over the pasta mixture and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
For an extra crispy topping, broil for 2-3 minutes at the end, watching carefully to prevent burning.
