Description

Succulent meatball kabobs glazed with a sweet and tangy maple BBQ sauce, paired with vibrant veggies, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Ground Beef or Turkey
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • ½ Onion, finely chopped
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • ½ cup Maple Syrup
  • ½ cup Ketchup
  • ¼ cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • Bell Peppers, cut into chunks
  • Onions, cut into chunks
  • Zucchini, sliced

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Meatball Mixture: In a large bowl, combine ground beef (or turkey), breadcrumbs, and egg. Add minced garlic, chopped onion, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
  2. Shape the Meatballs: Form mixture into golf-ball-sized meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.
  3. Prepare the Maple BBQ Sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together maple syrup, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and smoked paprika. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  4. Coat the Meatballs: Toss meatballs in half of the maple BBQ sauce until evenly coated.
  5. Skewer the Kabobs: Alternate adding meatballs with chunks of bell peppers, onions, and zucchini onto skewers.
  6. Grill the Kabobs: Preheat grill to medium heat. Grill kabobs for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally and basting with remaining sauce.
  7. Check Doneness: Ensure meatballs reach an internal temperature of 160°F.
  8. Serve and Enjoy: Drizzle with remaining maple BBQ sauce before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute meatballs with marinated tofu or a variety of colorful vegetables.
