Description

Crispy chicken tenders coated in a sweet and spicy Korean-style glaze, made effortlessly in an air fryer.


Ingredients

  • 8 pieces of chicken tenders
  • 1 cup of crushed corn flakes
  • 1 tbsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp of paprika
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of pepper
  • 1 tbsp of avocado oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • 2 stalks of green onions (whites and greens separated)
  • 2 tbsp of gochujang
  • 3 tbsp of honey
  • 3 tbsp of ketchup
  • 2 tbsp of mirin
  • 1 tbsp of sesame oil
  • Toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the chicken tenders under cold water and pat them dry.
  2. Beat the eggs in one bowl and combine the corn flakes, garlic powder, and paprika in another.
  3. Dip each chicken tender in the egg mixture and then roll in the corn flake mixture.
  4. Spray the air fryer basket with avocado oil and place the chicken tenders inside.
  5. Set the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway.
  6. Heat 1 tablespoon of avocado oil in a skillet, sauté garlic and green onion whites.
  7. Add gochujang, honey, ketchup, mirin, and sesame oil to the skillet and stir until combined.
  8. Transfer the crispy chicken to a bowl and toss with the sauce.
  9. Garnish with green onion greens and toasted sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Serve with rice or a fresh slaw to balance the rich flavors. Can be adjusted for gluten-free options.
