Tender, mouthwatering oven-baked ribs that bring family together for a comforting and flavorful meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 racks of baby back ribs or St. Louis-style ribs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Dry Rub:
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Barbecue Sauce:
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs.
  3. Drizzle the olive oil over the ribs.
  4. In a bowl, combine brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, chili powder, cumin, and cayenne pepper.
  5. Generously sprinkle the dry rub over the ribs.
  6. Wrap the seasoned ribs tightly in aluminum foil.
  7. Pop the wrapped ribs into the preheated oven and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours.
  8. After baking, carefully unwrap the ribs and brush barbecue sauce all over them.
  9. Broil for about 3–5 minutes for a sticky finish.
  10. Let the ribs rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve with coleslaw and baked beans for a complete meal.
