A delicious and nutritious twist on a classic dessert, packed with protein and perfect for a sweet snack or guilt-free treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups apples, diced
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup protein powder
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup butter or coconut oil, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients: rolled oats, almond flour, protein powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Chop the apples into small pieces.
  5. Add the wet ingredients: melted coconut oil or butter with honey or maple syrup, followed by the diced apples.
  6. Combine the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until well combined.
  7. Transfer the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool for 10-15 minutes in the baking dish before lifting out to cool completely on a wire rack.

Notes

Great served with nut butter, yogurt, or ice cream. You can also experiment with different fruits or spices.
