Description

A colorful and festive cake perfect for Easter, combining layers of vanilla pudding and Cool Whip with a delightful pastel-colored cake.


Ingredients

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • Gel food coloring (pastel colors)
  • 2 boxes instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 4 cups milk (for pudding preparation)
  • 1 container Cool Whip (thawed)
  • Easter-themed sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Combine the cake mix, eggs, oil, and water in a bowl, mixing on medium speed until smooth.
  3. Divide the batter into separate bowls and add gel food coloring to each.
  4. Pour the colored batter into the prepared cake pans, swirling slightly for a marble effect.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Whisk together the pudding mix and 4 cups of milk until thick, then chill in the refrigerator.
  7. Cool the cakes in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  8. Layer the first cake on a serving plate, add pudding, then top with the second cake.
  9. Frost the top and sides with Cool Whip.
  10. Decorate with Easter-themed sprinkles and any additional decorations you desire.
