  • 1 pound smoked sausage (halal-certified, no pork)
  • 4 cups baby potatoes, halved or quartered
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (ensure it’s halal-certified)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (optional, for serving)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the potatoes by washing and halving or quartering.
  3. Toss the potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and half of the ranch seasoning.
  4. Roast the potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet for about 25-30 minutes until golden.
  5. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  6. Combine the roasted potatoes with the sausage and add the remaining ranch seasoning.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the mixture and cover to let it melt for 5 minutes.
  8. Serve it up with a garnish of fresh parsley!
