- 6 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix the sliced peaches with half of the sugar (1/2 cup) and let sit for about 10 minutes.
- Melt the butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish in the oven.
- Whisk together flour, remaining sugar (1/2 cup), baking powder, salt, and milk until smooth.
- Pour the batter over the melted butter without stirring.
- Spoon the peaches and their syrup over the batter.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
- Cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
