A comforting twist on a classic, combining pasta with the savory flavors of a bacon cheeseburger, perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz Pasta (Rotini or Elbow)
- 1 lb Ground Beef (or Turkey)
- 4 strips Bacon
- 1 cup Cheddar Cheese, shredded
- 2 cups Lettuce, chopped (Romaine)
- 1 cup Cherry Tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 cup Pickles, diced
- 1/2 cup Ketchup
- 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp Mustard
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Boil water in a large pot, add salt, and cook pasta according to package instructions (8-10 minutes). Drain and rinse with cold water.
- Brown the Beef: In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until browned (5-7 minutes), draining excess fat.
- Cook the Bacon: In another skillet, fry bacon until crispy (4-5 minutes), then drain on paper towels.
- Combine All Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine cooled pasta, cooked beef, bacon, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, and cheese. Toss gently.
- Make Burger Dressing: Whisk together ketchup, mayo, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Dress the Salad: Pour dressing over salad and toss to coat evenly.
- Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let flavors meld.
Notes
For added flavor, toss a bit of olive oil with pasta to prevent sticking. Adjust dressing ingredients to taste.
