- 2 cups strawberries, hulled and chopped
- 1 cup blueberries, rinsed
- 1 large apple, diced (recommended: Granny Smith)
- Zest of 1 lime
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1–2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- Cinnamon chips (made from flour tortillas)
Instructions
- Prepare the fruit: Wash all the fruit, hull and chop the strawberries, and dice the apples.
- Mix the ingredients: In a large bowl, combine fruit, lime zest, lime juice, and honey or maple syrup.
- Allow the salsa to marinate for 15-30 minutes at room temperature or refrigerate for an hour.
- Prepare the cinnamon chips: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and cut tortillas into triangles. Arrange on a baking sheet, apply olive oil, and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Serve and enjoy: Serve salsa with cinnamon chips. Garnish with lime zest.
Notes
This fruit salsa can be served as a dip or on top of grilled fish, chicken, pancakes, or waffles. Feel free to customize with other fruits or spices!
