Description

Festive deviled eggs with a colorful red, white, and blue twist, perfect for celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon or yellow mustard
  • 12 teaspoons paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Red and blue food coloring
  • Fresh chives for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs: Place eggs in a saucepan, cover with cold water, and bring to a boil. Cover, turn off heat, and let sit for 10-12 minutes.
  2. Cool and peel: Drain hot water, fill saucepan with cold water and ice. Let sit, crack shells, and peel eggs.
  3. Prepare the filling: Slice eggs in half, remove yolks, and mash with mayo, mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Color it up: Divide yolk mixture into three bowls and mix red food coloring in one, blue in another, leaving one plain.
  5. Fill those eggs: Use piping bags to fill egg whites with colored yolk mixtures, creating a red, white, and blue effect.
  6. Garnish and serve: Sprinkle paprika and add chopped chives on top before arranging the eggs on a platter.

Notes

Feel free to modify the recipe by using Greek yogurt in place of mayonnaise for a lighter version.
