A colorful and festive twist on the classic Rice Krispies Treats, perfect for Easter celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 package (10 oz) marshmallows or 6 cups mini marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Easter egg candies (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Prep your surface: Lightly grease a 9×13-inch pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter: In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the marshmallows: Once the butter is melted, add all of your marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
  4. Stir in the vanilla: Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
  5. Mix in the Rice Krispies: Slowly add the Rice Krispies to the pot, folding gently.
  6. Gently fold in the Easter candies: Mix in the Easter egg candies, reserving some for decoration.
  7. Spread and set: Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and press down evenly.
  8. Cut and serve: Once set, cut into squares and top with remaining Easter candies.

Notes

For a vegan version, use coconut oil instead of butter and gelatin-free marshmallows.
