  • Author: Jackson Walker

Description

This hearty, one-pan meal gets a flavorful upgrade with double the ingredients and a few bold twists. Ground turkey and golden potatoes are spiced to perfection, then tossed with peas, fresh herbs, and a hint of brightness. It’s easy, satisfying, and makes enough for seconds—or leftovers that taste even better the next day.

Ingredients

Scale

2 lbs (900g) ground turkey

4 tbsp olive oil

2 medium onions, finely chopped

4 cloves garlic, minced

4 cups diced potatoes

2 cups frozen peas

2 tsp ground cumin

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp chili flakes (optional, for heat)

Zest of 1 lemon

Salt and pepper, to taste

½ cup chopped fresh cilantro or parsley

Optional: a dollop of Greek yogurt or plant-based cream on top

Instructions

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions until soft and golden, about 5 minutes.

Add garlic and ground turkey. Cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking up the meat with a spoon.

Stir in cumin, paprika, chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Add diced potatoes, cover, and cook for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender and lightly crispy.

Toss in peas and cook for another 3–4 minutes until heated through.

Finish with lemon zest and fresh herbs.

Serve hot, optionally topped with a spoonful of Greek yogurt or a squeeze of lemon.
