Ingredients

  • 70 ml lukewarm water
  • 7 g instant yeast
  • 12 g honey
  • 400 g all-purpose flour
  • 7 g salt
  • 30 g unsalted butter (room temperature)

Instructions

  1. Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the lukewarm milk and water. Add honey and yeast to the mix.
  2. Combine the Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk the flour and salt together.
  3. Create the Dough: Make a well in the center of the flour and pour in your wet mixture. Knead in the butter.
  4. Let It Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a damp cloth.
  5. Form the Buns: Once risen, punch down the dough and divide it into equal portions. Shape each piece into a ball.
  6. Second Rise: Place the dough balls on a baking sheet, cover, and let them rise for about 30 minutes.
  7. Fry Away: Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat and carefully place the buns in hot oil.
