  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (divided)
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prep your chicken by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C) and gently pounding the chicken breasts to an even thickness.
  2. Season your chicken with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and dried oregano on both sides.
  3. Sear the chicken in a large skillet over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Make the creamy mixture by mixing sour cream, 1/2 cup Parmesan, and cornstarch until smooth.
  5. Build your dish by pouring the creamy mixture over the chicken, topping with mozzarella and remaining Parmesan.
  6. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly.
  7. Serve it up once out of the oven, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

For a crispy finish, broil for 2-3 minutes at the end, watching closely to prevent burning.
