- 1 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (divided)
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Prep your chicken by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C) and gently pounding the chicken breasts to an even thickness.
- Season your chicken with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and dried oregano on both sides.
- Sear the chicken in a large skillet over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Make the creamy mixture by mixing sour cream, 1/2 cup Parmesan, and cornstarch until smooth.
- Build your dish by pouring the creamy mixture over the chicken, topping with mozzarella and remaining Parmesan.
- Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly.
- Serve it up once out of the oven, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
For a crispy finish, broil for 2-3 minutes at the end, watching closely to prevent burning.
