Description

A Flavorful Twist on a Timeless Classic – layers of seasoned steak, sautéed veggies, and melty cheese in a hearty one-pan casserole.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound thinly sliced steak (flank, sirloin, or ribeye)
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sauté the onions and bell peppers in olive oil for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the mushrooms to the skillet and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Season the sliced steak with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Drizzle Worcestershire sauce over the steak and veggies, stirring to coat.
  6. Assemble the casserole in a greased baking dish, layering half of the steak mixture and half of the provolone cheese, then repeat.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes until the cheese is melty and bubbly.
  8. Let the casserole rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with crusty rolls or garlic bread for sopping up cheesy goodness. Garnish with parsley or green onions.
