Instructions
- Gather your tools: Grab your skillet and set it over medium heat.
- Prepare the pesto: Combine basil, garlic, nuts, Parmesan, and olive oil in a food processor and blend until smooth.
- Butter the bread: Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each slice.
- Assemble the sandwich: Spread pesto, layer cheese (and optional extras), add more pesto, and top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
