Overnight Crème Brûlée French Toast!

Ingredients

1 loaf of thick brioche or French bread, sliced

6 large eggs

1 1/2 cups heavy cream

1/2 cup whole milk

3/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tbsp vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Butter (for greasing)

Optional topping: maple syrup, powdered sugar, or caramel sauce


Instructions

Grease a 9×13 baking dish with butter.

In a saucepan, melt brown sugar with 1/4 cup butter until smooth, then pour into the dish base.

Layer bread slices over the sugar mixture.

In a bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, milk, granulated sugar, vanilla, and salt. Pour over the bread.

Cover and refrigerate overnight.

The next morning, preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, or until puffed and golden.

Let it rest 10 minutes before serving with your favorite syrup or caramel drizzle.
