Description

A flavor-packed Korean Chicken Breast recipe that combines savory, sweet, and a hint of spice for a delightful culinary adventure.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Chicken Breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 Cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 Tablespoon Ginger, grated
  • 1 Tablespoon Honey or Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Steamed Rice (for serving)
  • Steamed Veggies (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, honey (or brown sugar), and sesame oil. Stir until mixed. Place the chicken in a resealable bag or shallow dish, and pour the marinade over it, ensuring all pieces are coated.
  2. Preheat your pan: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and lightly grease with sesame oil or cooking spray.
  3. Cook the chicken: Transfer marinated chicken to the hot skillet in a single layer. Cook for 5-6 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 5-7 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  4. Baste: Drizzle leftover marinade over the chicken while it’s cooking to add moisture and flavor.
  5. Rest: Once the chicken is cooked through, remove from the skillet and let it rest for about 5 minutes.
  6. Serve: Slice chicken against the grain and serve over steamed rice with veggies, drizzled with reserved marinade.

Notes

For best results, allow the chicken to marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for more flavor.
