Ingredients

- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., mozzarella or cheddar)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
- Parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Sauté the mushrooms in olive oil or butter for 5-7 minutes until tender.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Combine the shredded chicken, sautéed mushrooms, garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
- Make the cream sauce by adding the heavy cream and mixing well.
- Cheese it up by stirring in half of the shredded cheese.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For variations, swap mushrooms or add herbs for extra flavor. This casserole can also be made vegetarian by substituting chicken with zucchini or spinach.
