Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 1 fresh pineapple, sliced
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lettuce and tomato for garnish

Instructions

  1. Start by prepping all your ingredients, getting your pineapple slices ready and chopping the lettuce and tomatoes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey with salt and pepper, and form the mixture into four equal-sized patties.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the bacon slices. Cook until crispy, about 5 minutes on each side.
  4. Add the pineapple slices to the skillet and cook for about 2 minutes on each side.
  5. In the same skillet, add your turkey patties and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, basting with barbecue sauce in the last minute.
  6. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in the skillet until golden brown.
  7. Plate the burgers by layering the patty, bacon, grilled pineapple, barbecue sauce, lettuce, and tomato on the bottom half of each bun, and cover with the top bun.
  8. Serve with a side of sweet potato fries or salad.
