- 1 lb ground turkey
- 4 slices of bacon
- 1 fresh pineapple, sliced
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lettuce and tomato for garnish
Instructions
- Start by prepping all your ingredients, getting your pineapple slices ready and chopping the lettuce and tomatoes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey with salt and pepper, and form the mixture into four equal-sized patties.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the bacon slices. Cook until crispy, about 5 minutes on each side.
- Add the pineapple slices to the skillet and cook for about 2 minutes on each side.
- In the same skillet, add your turkey patties and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, basting with barbecue sauce in the last minute.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in the skillet until golden brown.
- Plate the burgers by layering the patty, bacon, grilled pineapple, barbecue sauce, lettuce, and tomato on the bottom half of each bun, and cover with the top bun.
- Serve with a side of sweet potato fries or salad.
