Description
Light up your Halloween dessert table with these Jack-O’-Lantern Brownies! Rich chocolate squares become smiling (or spooky!) pumpkins with vibrant orange frosting and bold black icing faces. With double the servings and tasty twists like a hint of spice and crunch, these brownies are the life of the pumpkin patch party.
Ingredients
2 boxes brownie mix (plus eggs, oil, and water as listed)
½ tsp cinnamon (adds warm fall flavor)
½ cup mini chocolate chips or chopped walnuts (optional, for texture)
1½ cups orange frosting (store-bought or homemade)
Black gel icing (for Jack-O’-Lantern faces)
Optional: green frosting for stems or vines
Optional: orange sprinkles or edible glitter for extra sparkle
Instructions
Preheat oven according to brownie mix instructions. Grease a 9×13-inch pan (or two 8×8 pans).
Mix brownie batter as directed, adding cinnamon and optional chocolate chips or nuts.
Pour into pan(s) and bake according to package, adjusting slightly for doubled quantity. Cool completely.
Cut brownies into 24 squares or use a pumpkin-shaped cookie cutter for themed shapes.
Spread orange frosting evenly over each piece.
Use black gel icing to draw classic Jack-O’-Lantern faces—smiling, scary, or silly!
Add green frosting for stems or leaves, and finish with sprinkles or shimmer if desired.
