- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 1 pound cooked and shredded chicken breast
- 1 cup low-fat cheese (Cheddar or your choice)
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 cup low-fat milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: Green onions, Extra cheese
Instructions
- Cook the macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente (7-9 minutes), then drain.
- Prep the chicken if not using rotisserie chicken, then shred it.
- Make the cheese sauce by melting cheese, BBQ sauce, honey, and milk over medium heat.
- Combine the macaroni, shredded chicken, and cheese sauce in a bowl until well mixed.
- Prepare for baking by transferring to a greased dish if storing for later.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes for a crispy top if desired.
- Serve and enjoy, topped with green onions and extra cheese if desired.
