Ingredients

  • 4 apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup mixed nuts, chopped
  • 1/4 cup yogurt or milk (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with cinnamon and honey, allowing them to sit for a few minutes.
  3. In an 8×8 baking dish, layer the apple mixture evenly. In another bowl, combine oats and chopped mixed nuts with a pinch of cinnamon. Drizzle honey over the mixture and combine until crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle the oat and nut mixture over the apples generously.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until apples are bubbling and the topping is golden and crispy.
  6. Let cool for a few minutes and serve warm with yogurt, milk, or ice cream.

Notes

For a vegan option, swap honey for maple syrup and use almond milk.
