- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prep the chicken: Cut chicken breast into bite-sized pieces, season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Create the sauce: Whisk soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, cornstarch, water, ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes in a bowl.
- Heat the pan: Bring a skillet or wok to medium-high heat with a drizzle of sesame oil.
- Cook the chicken: Add chicken to the hot skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
- Add the broccoli: Toss in broccoli florets and stir for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Pour in the sauce: Stir in the sauce mixture and cook for 3-5 minutes until thickened.
- Serve and garnish: Serve hot, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
For a vegan version, substitute chicken with tofu and honey with maple syrup.
