Ingredients

  • 4 Chicken Breasts
  • 1 Cup Barbecue Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Onion Powder
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste

Instructions

  1. Begin by prepping your chicken breasts. Pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. Drizzle the chicken breasts with olive oil, sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Massage the spices into the chicken.
  3. Let the chicken marinate for about 10–15 minutes.
  4. Fire up your grill and preheat to medium-high heat.
  5. Carefully place the chicken on the grill. Cook without moving for 6-7 minutes.
  6. Flip the chicken and brush with barbecue sauce. Grill for another 6-7 minutes.
  7. Check for doneness using a meat thermometer; the internal temperature should be 165°F (75°C).
  8. Brush more barbecue sauce for glaze in the last 2 minutes of cooking. Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes.
  9. Slice and serve on a platter with extra sauce if desired.

Notes

You can marinate chicken overnight for extra flavor. Serve with sides like coleslaw or a fresh salad.
