- 4 Chicken Breasts
- 1 Cup Barbecue Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Onion Powder
- Salt and Pepper to Taste
Instructions
- Begin by prepping your chicken breasts. Pat them dry with paper towels.
- Drizzle the chicken breasts with olive oil, sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Massage the spices into the chicken.
- Let the chicken marinate for about 10–15 minutes.
- Fire up your grill and preheat to medium-high heat.
- Carefully place the chicken on the grill. Cook without moving for 6-7 minutes.
- Flip the chicken and brush with barbecue sauce. Grill for another 6-7 minutes.
- Check for doneness using a meat thermometer; the internal temperature should be 165°F (75°C).
- Brush more barbecue sauce for glaze in the last 2 minutes of cooking. Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes.
- Slice and serve on a platter with extra sauce if desired.
Notes
You can marinate chicken overnight for extra flavor. Serve with sides like coleslaw or a fresh salad.
