  • Author: Jackson Walker
  • Total Time: 1 hour 20 minutes

Description

These Ghost Brownies are hauntingly good! Rich, fudgy chocolate squares are topped with sweet, ghostly dollops of marshmallow or white frosting and finished with spooky little faces. With doubled servings and extra twists for texture and flair, these playful treats will disappear faster than a phantom in the night!

Ingredients

Scale

2 boxes brownie mix (plus eggs, oil, and water as listed)

1½ cups marshmallow fluff or white frosting

48 mini chocolate chips (for ghost eyes)

Optional: black gel icing for ghost faces

Optional: ½ tsp cinnamon or espresso powder for a flavor boost

Optional: ½ cup chocolate chips or chopped walnuts for added texture

Instructions

Preheat oven to the temperature listed on the brownie mix box. Grease a 9×13-inch pan (or two 8×8 pans).

Mix both boxes of brownie batter together in a large bowl. Stir in cinnamon, espresso powder, or mix-ins if desired.

Pour into pan(s) and bake as directed, adjusting bake time slightly for larger volume.

Let brownies cool completely before decorating.

Cut into 24 squares. Using a piping bag or spoon, add a dollop of marshmallow fluff or white frosting on each square, shaping it upward into a ghost-like figure.

Add two mini chocolate chips as eyes, and use gel icing to draw mouths or other expressions.

Let frosting set slightly before serving.
