- 4 boneless skinless chicken thighs
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 lemons (juice and zest)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
Instructions
- Combine minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, olive oil, salt, pepper, and dried oregano in a mixing bowl.
- Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels and place in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish.
- Pour the marinade over the chicken and massage it for flavor absorption.
- Seal the bag or cover the dish and let marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (375°F to 400°F).
- Place marinated chicken on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes without flipping.
- Flip chicken thighs and grill for another 5-7 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Remove from the grill and let rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Marinate the chicken for longer for more flavor, but avoid marinating for too long to prevent the acid in the lemon from ‘cooking’ the chicken.
