Description
A mouthwatering dish that’s ready in just 15 minutes, combining the juiciness of steak with the comforting kiss of garlic butter.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or New York strip)
- 1 medium zucchini, cut into half-moons
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Prep your ingredients: Cut your steak into 1-inch cubes and slice your zucchini into half-moons. Let your steak sit at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes before cooking.
- Heat the skillet: In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Cook the steak: Add the steak cubes in a single layer to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes until a nice crust forms.
- Flip and add the zucchini: Flip the steak bites over, add the zucchini, and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add the garlic and butter: Push the steak and zucchini to one side of the skillet, add the butter and minced garlic to the empty side, and let it melt before mixing everything together.
- Sizzle it up: Cook for an additional minute until the garlic is fragrant and the steak has absorbed the buttery goodness.
Notes
Serve with creamy mashed potatoes, buttered rice, or over mixed greens for a lighter meal. Experiment with different veggies or herbs for variation.
