Ingredients
For the Dough:
3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
2 ¼ tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup warm milk (110°F/43°C)
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 egg
For the Garlic Butter:
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh parsley or 1 tsp dried
Pinch of salt
Instructions
In a bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm milk. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
Add melted butter, egg, salt, and 2 cups of flour. Mix until smooth. Gradually add remaining flour to form a soft dough.
Knead for 6–8 minutes. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled (about 1 hour).
Punch down dough and divide into 12–15 equal pieces. Shape into rolls and place in a greased baking dish.
Cover and let rise again for 30–45 minutes.
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Bake for 18–20 minutes or until golden.
While hot, brush generously with garlic butter.
