Description

Ingredients

  • 8 oz (225 grams) whole wheat or gluten-free pasta
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 23 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Red pepper flakes, to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water, add pasta, and cook until al dente (8-10 minutes). Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Steam broccoli for about 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add cooked pasta and steamed broccoli to the skillet. Toss together to combine.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  6. Serve with additional Parmesan cheese and a drizzle of olive oil if desired.
