Easy Berry Chia Seed Jam

  • Author: Jackson Walker
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: ~2½ cups jam

Description

Sweet, tangy, and naturally thickened with chia seeds—this berry jam is a fuss-free, no-sugar overload spread that’s ready in minutes. Spoon it over toast, swirl it into yogurt, or layer it into your favorite desserts. Homemade has never been this simple or this delicious!

Ingredients

Scale

1012 oz (about 2½ cups) frozen raspberries

1012 oz (about 2¼ cups) frozen blueberries

¼ cup chia seeds

2 tbsp orange juice (from about ½ medium orange)

Up to 4 tbsp maple syrup (optional, to taste)

Instructions

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, cook berries until they break down and get juicy—about 7–10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Mash gently with a fork or spoon for a smoother texture.

Stir in chia seeds, orange juice, and maple syrup (if using).

Reduce heat and simmer for 2–3 minutes, stirring frequently.

Remove from heat and let sit for 10–15 minutes to thicken.

Transfer to a jar and refrigerate—jam will thicken further as it cools.
