Crockpot Greek Chicken Pitas with Tzatziki

Description

Tender chicken smothered in aromatic herbs, served in warm pita bread with creamy tzatziki sauce.


Ingredients

  • 23 Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Juice from 1 Lemon
  • 46 pieces Pita Bread
  • 1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1 medium Cucumber, grated and drained
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Dill, chopped
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • Juice from ½ Lemon
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, oregano, and paprika, and drizzle olive oil over them. Place in the crockpot.
  2. Mix minced garlic, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Pour over chicken and cover. Cook on low for about 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  3. Grate cucumber and sprinkle with salt; let it sit for 10 minutes. Wring out excess water, then combine with Greek yogurt, minced garlic, fresh dill, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Shred the cooked chicken and assemble in pita bread with tzatziki and desired toppings.
