- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup water
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 4–6 hoagie rolls
- Sliced provolone or mozzarella cheese
- Optional: pepperoncini peppers
Instructions
- Sear the beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned.
- Prepare the crockpot with beef broth, water, and onion soup mix.
- Add the seared beef to the crockpot.
- Set the crockpot to low and cook for 8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
- Shred the beef once cooked and keep moist with au jus.
- Toast hoagie rolls in the oven for 5 minutes.
- Assemble the sandwiches with shredded beef and cheese, adding peppers if desired.
- Serve with rich au jus for dipping.
