Description

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 46 hoagie rolls
  • Sliced provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • Optional: pepperoncini peppers

Instructions

  1. Sear the beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned.
  2. Prepare the crockpot with beef broth, water, and onion soup mix.
  3. Add the seared beef to the crockpot.
  4. Set the crockpot to low and cook for 8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
  5. Shred the beef once cooked and keep moist with au jus.
  6. Toast hoagie rolls in the oven for 5 minutes.
  7. Assemble the sandwiches with shredded beef and cheese, adding peppers if desired.
  8. Serve with rich au jus for dipping.
