Description
A delicious twist on a veggie classic, these crispy smashed broccoli chips are the perfect crunchy snack with a savory flavor and a zesty yogurt dip.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups broccoli florets (boiled)
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for drizzling
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon herbs (dill or parsley recommended)
Instructions
- Boil the broccoli: Start by boiling a pot of water. Once it’s at a rolling boil, add your broccoli florets and let them cook for about 2-3 minutes.
- Smash it: Place your boiled broccoli florets on a sheet of parchment paper and smash them until they’re about ½ an inch thick.
- Combine cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Toss your smashed broccoli in the mixture until well coated.
- Drizzle olive oil over the tops of the coated chips on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) for about 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Whisk the yogurt, lemon juice, and herbs in a bowl to prepare the dipping sauce.
- Serve the broccoli chips with the yogurt dip and enjoy!
Notes
Make sure to pat the broccoli dry after boiling and not overcrowd the baking sheet for the crispiest finish.
