  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp olive oil for sautéing

Instructions

  1. Boil the pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil over high heat. Add your 8 oz of penne pasta and cook according to package instructions, usually about 10-12 minutes until al dente.
  2. Brown the beef: While the pasta cooks, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and drizzle in your 2 tsp of olive oil. Add the 1 lb of ground beef and brown up nicely, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  3. Sauté the aromatics: Once the beef is browned, add 1 medium diced onion, sauté for 2-3 minutes, then add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Make the sauce: Reduce heat to medium-low, pour in the 1 cup of heavy cream and stir in 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and 2 tsp of Italian seasoning until creamy.
  5. Combine it all: Add the cooked penne pasta to the sauce and toss gently, adding reserved pasta water to adjust consistency if needed.
  6. Serve it up! Plate the pasta in shallow bowls, garnish with more Parmesan and black pepper.
