Description

Embark on a culinary adventure with these Chicken Tikka Kebab Skewers, packed with savory goodness and vibrant Indian spices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g chicken breast, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chapatis or wraps for serving

Instructions

  1. Combine 1 cup of plain yogurt, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large mixing bowl. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Add 2 teaspoons of garam masala, 1 teaspoon cumin powder, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, and 1 teaspoon of paprika to the yogurt mixture. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Toss the 500g of chicken cubes into the marinade, ensuring each piece is coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  4. Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes if using; metal skewers do not require soaking.
  5. Thread the marinated chicken onto the skewers, leaving space between pieces for even cooking.
  6. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Cook the skewers for 10-15 minutes, flipping occasionally, until charred and cooked through.
  7. Rest the skewers for 5 minutes before serving.
  8. Serve with chapatis or wraps along with dipping sauces.

Notes

Feel free to customize the spice level and add vegetables to the skewers for an added touch.
