Description
A deliciously creamy and spicy twist on traditional pasta, this dish features Cajun-seasoned ground beef and rich Alfredo sauce coating bowtie pasta.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz Bowtie Pasta (Farfallini)
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 8 oz Cream Cheese
- 1 cup Alfredo Sauce
- 2 tbsp Cajun Seasoning
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water. Once at a rolling boil, cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and break it apart with a spatula, sautéing until well-browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Drain excess fat if necessary, then sprinkle in the Cajun seasoning and minced garlic. Stir well and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Lower the heat and add cream cheese, stirring until melted. Pour in Alfredo sauce, adding a splash of pasta water if too thick.
- Drain the pasta and toss it in the skillet with the creamy beef mixture. Cook for another 1-2 minutes to combine flavors.
- Remove from heat, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
Notes
For a lighter version, you can use Greek yogurt instead of cream cheese and leaner ground turkey or chicken.
