- 2 lb hamburger patties
- 4 large hamburger buns
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- Barbecue sauce (to taste)
- Optional toppings: onion rings, ketchup, pickles
Instructions
- Prepare your patties by shaping the ground beef into four equal, 1-inch thick patties. Make a small dent in the center.
- Get your grill ready by preheating it to medium-high heat.
- Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy, then set aside.
- Grill the hamburger patties without moving them for 4-5 minutes, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes with cheese on top.
- Add barbecue sauce during the last minute of cooking.
- Toast the buns on the grill for about a minute.
- Assemble the burger: bottom bun, juicy patty with BBQ sauce, crispy bacon, and onion rings, topped with the top bun.
Notes
