Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh basil leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the marinade by whisking together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper in a medium-sized bowl.
  3. Marinate the chicken breasts in a shallow dish, coating them well with the marinade. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Arrange the marinated chicken in a greased baking dish, pouring any remaining marinade on top.
  5. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. Broil for the last 2-3 minutes for a caramelized finish.
  7. Rest the chicken for about 5 minutes before slicing.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve with the remaining glaze.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the marinade. Experiment with different marinades and sides for variety.
