- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Fresh basil leaves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the marinade by whisking together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper in a medium-sized bowl.
- Marinate the chicken breasts in a shallow dish, coating them well with the marinade. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Arrange the marinated chicken in a greased baking dish, pouring any remaining marinade on top.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Broil for the last 2-3 minutes for a caramelized finish.
- Rest the chicken for about 5 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve with the remaining glaze.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the marinade. Experiment with different marinades and sides for variety.
