Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh basil leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Whisk together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in a large zip-lock bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them.
  4. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably longer.
  5. Arrange the chicken in a baking dish and pour the remaining marinade over the top.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  7. Broil for 2-3 minutes for a golden finish, if desired.
  8. Remove from oven, let rest for 5 minutes, and garnish with fresh basil before serving.
