- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Fresh basil leaves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Whisk together the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl.
- Place the chicken breasts in a large zip-lock bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them.
- Marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably longer.
- Arrange the chicken in a baking dish and pour the remaining marinade over the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Broil for 2-3 minutes for a golden finish, if desired.
- Remove from oven, let rest for 5 minutes, and garnish with fresh basil before serving.
