Description

A quick and comforting Ground Beef Stroganoff that can be whipped up in just 30 minutes, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 ounces Egg Noodles
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • ¼ cup Butter
  • ¼ cup Flour
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 ¼ cup Milk
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ cup Sour Cream

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add in your egg noodles. Cook according to package instructions until al dente (usually 6-8 minutes).
  2. Brown the ground beef: While the pasta cooks, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add in the ground beef and break it apart with a wooden spoon. Cook until browned and no longer pink (about 5-7 minutes).
  3. Add the aromatics: Once the beef is cooked, reduce the heat to medium, and stir in the butter, garlic powder, and onion powder. Let it melt and combine everything for about 1 minute.
  4. Make the roux: Sprinkle the flour over the beef mixture and stir well to incorporate; cook for another minute.
  5. Pour in the broth and milk: Gradually whisk in the beef broth and milk until you have a smooth sauce.
  6. Season it up: Sprinkle in the salt and pepper, then let the sauce simmer gently for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Stir in the sour cream: Once your sauce has thickened nicely, remove it from the heat and stir in the sour cream until creamy.
  8. Combine with noodles: Drain the cooked noodles and add them to the skillet. Toss everything together until the noodles are fully coated in the sauce.

Notes

Serve with a sprinkle of fresh parsley or chives. Great with a side salad or crusty bread.
